EMPIRE STATE OF STYLE

New York is not only Arielle’s home, but also a constant source of inspiration for the fashion blogger. “The people of New York are my style muses - I can just walk down the street and pick up three new trends I want to try.” But as a woman who’s carefully curated her personal style, she always airs on the side of authenticity. “Big, bold necklaces are really popular right now in the fashion community,” explains Arielle. She then points to her Linear Collection Triple Bar Pendant - a super-delicate piece that still makes a big statement, “But I always give trends my own twist.” We like her style…

FINISHING TOUCHES

3rd September 2014

Arielle is a maverick with trends and that means she’s not defined by any one style. “Whenever I wake up, I base what I’m going to wear on my mood,” describes Arielle. From grunge to preppy to all-out glam, no matter what look she’s going for, Arielle uses accessories to complete her outfit.

COLOR POP

The blogger is not afraid to mix up her color choices and she likes her hues to be a reflection of how she’s feeling on any given day. “If it’s beautiful out and I’ve had plenty of sleep I wear tons of bright
colors,” explains Arielle. “If it’s gray out, then I wear neutrals.” She even uses fashion as a tool to enhance her mood. “I’ll put on a bright pair of heels when I want to feel elevated,” Arielle says looking down at her 5-inch heels. “And I’m having a moment with statement earrings,” she says as she adds a pair of Trace Collection earrings to her evening look – the large open-frame design gives them a delicate-yet-bold vibe and pairs perfectly with her dramatic floor-length gown.

TRANSITIONAL ESSENTIALS

For someone whose wardrobe is ever-changing it’s important to have pieces that transition seamlessly between looks. “When it comes to jewelry, I love everything in rose gold,” says Arielle. “I think it looks great with my complexion.” She tucks her hair behind her ear revealing the rose gold and black diamond earring from the Linear Collection. “When something looks good on you,” says Arielle “It goes with everything.”

AN EYE FOR THE UNEXPECTED

It’s clear that it takes more than a delicate sparkle to catch Arielle’s
eye. “Now this is my version of a statement piece.” She says as she slips on the Brilliant Signet Ring. The 16 embedded diamonds catch the light as she holds out her hand. “It’s such a classic, almost old-school kind of style, especially when worn as a pinky ring.”

POWER COLOR

While Arielle considers navy neutral, she finds power in the color
black. “It makes me feel strong and confident,” she explains. Arielle clasps the Triple Bar Linear Collection Necklace, dripping with black diamonds. “There is a mystery to onyx and black diamonds. Gorgeous with a little edge.” describes Arielle. “It’s hard not to be empowered by a color that looks good on everyone.”

NEUTRAL NAVY

Of course, navy plays a vital role in Arielle’s color story. Shades of deep blue have always stood out to Arielle, even in childhood memories. “My mother has this sapphire ring. It’s one of my favorite pieces,” says Arielle, thinking back to her impressions as a little girl. “It’s just mesmerizing.” Years later, Arielle still has a deep affinity for the color. Something Navy is not only the title of her blog, but a staple in her personal style. “For me navy has always been a neutral,” explains Arielle. “It’s goes with everything.” Even black? “Especially black,” she responds. Some rules are meant to be broken.

EFFORTLESSLY ELEGANT

“When I put on jewelry, I feel more confident,” says Arielle, “I like pieces that you put on and never take off.” For her everyday look she prefers delicate feminine pieces but she seamlessly transforms those same pieces for a night out. “I just add more!” she admits with a smile. With Arielle’s natural ability to stack and layer, the final look is always effortlessly elegant.
